Leveling up Leadership
Since 2018
Honorable KaTina Whitfield

On Point. On Purpose. #KeepKatina
Mission
My mission is to continue serving Dallas County with fairness, integrity, and compassion. As your Justice of the Peace, I have cleared case backlogs, expanded access through night court, and partnered with our community to provide real solutions—whether it’s restoring driver’s licenses, protecting tenants and landlords, or offering resources for families in crisis. As Presiding Judge, I’ve fought for stronger courts with better security, technology, and livable wages for our staff. I am committed to building on this progress, ensuring that justice in Dallas County remains accessible, efficient, and truly for the people.
Progress You See! Leadership You Trust!
On Point ~ On Purpose
I believe leadership is more than a title, it’s about showing up, listening, and making a difference every day. In my courts, that means creating solutions that actually work for people: programs that give second chances, processes that are fair and efficient, and services that support our community when they need it most.
Being elected by my peers as Presiding Judge has given me the opportunity to guide our courts with vision, integrity, and a focus on results. I’m proud to lead a team committed to fairness, transparency, and service.
When you come to my court, you see progress. You experience leadership that works, and you know it’s rooted in trust.

Every decision I make as your Justice of the Peace is guided by one principle: purpose. Purpose drives action, inspires progress, and ensures that every choice I make in the courtroom and in our community serves a higher goal—justice, fairness, and opportunity for all.
Since taking office, I’ve focused on creating real solutions for our community. I’ve streamlined court processes to reduce delays, expanded access to justice through e-filing, and helped families and individuals overcome barriers, from reinstating driver’s licenses to providing critical financial and mental health resources. I’ve introduced programs that recognize community service, ensured the court remains accessible during challenging times, and led all 10 Justice Courts in Dallas County as Presiding Judge to foster efficiency and fairness. Every initiative reflects my commitment to serving people, not just procedures.
Leadership without purpose is directionless; purpose without action is wasted. I strive to combine both, making decisions rooted in justice, fairness, and compassion, while delivering tangible results for the people of Dallas County.
We are proud to serve the citizens of Mesquite, Garland, Rowlett, Sachse, Sunnyvale, Balch Springs and East Dallas. Please look for more exciting changes in the near future.
When you choose to support me, you’re choosing leadership that doesn’t just react, but acts with intention, better yet, On Point ~ On Purpose.
